Paul Budnitz designed Model No.3 as the world’s best bicycle for fast riding on city streets.
This bicycle features fast geometry, big 2-inch performance tires imported from Germany, and 29-inch wheels that fly smoothly over gravel, potholes, curbs — just about anything you’ll find on a city street. No.3 makes an excellent commuter, performs gracefully on dirt roads, and just a blast to ride around town.
Our handmade No.3 twin-tube cro-moly steel cantilever frame is engineered to absorb road shock, for a very smooth ride. Frame geometry puts power behind the pedals without sacrificing comfort. This bicycle has a slightly longer wheelbase than our other models, which makes it very stable riding and helps even out rough roads.
Carbon belt drive is lightweight, silent and requires no grease — so you will never get your pants dirty. Your choice of single speed, or clean and quiet Shimano Alfine 11-speed or Rohloff 14-speed internal transmission. Internal cable routing for a sleek look, and performance housing by Yokozuna in Japan optimizes braking and precise shifting.
Features our hand built Budnitz No.3 half crown fork, ergonomic titanium riser handlebars, titanium seatpost and badges. Assembled with race-quality components including Chris King headset, Paul Components Love Levers, Thomson Stem, FSA cranks, and Velocity hubs.
